When the Ryder Cup returns to Adare Manor in two years’ time, some fans may stay in unique accommodation.

According to the report, timessome of the 200,000 fans expected to attend the 2027 Ryder Cup in County Limerick, Ireland, may stay in rooms aboard a cruise ship docked at Foynes Point, about 30 minutes away.

The Times shared notes from a recent tourism committee meeting, which said: “Having a cruise ship docked at Foynes Harbor remains an option to facilitate staff and spectators at the event.”

The meeting notes also shared plans for a “major rail link” and a new road called the Adare Bypass to help ease traffic. The report says that thanks to approvals for “accelerated works” the road is on track to be completed in time for the games, but there are “potential issues” with the park-and-ride site as Limerick City and County Council do not have the budget to acquire the required number of sites.
