Liverpool beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League tonight, and Andrew Robertson was hugely impressive for the home side.

At the start of the season, the Scotland international defender was expected to start in place of Milos Kerkes. Liverpool have signed a talented young Hungarian defender from Bournemouth.

There is no doubt that he is a great talent with great potential, but so far he has not been able to adapt to his new club. There is no doubt that he has the potential to develop into an important member of the first team in the future. But Robertson continues to show why he deserves to be the club’s starting left-back so far.

Andrew Robertson was great

Journalist Henry Winter shared a post on social media after Liverpool’s win over Real Madrid, claiming that while Kerkes still has a chance to play this season, Robertson should be the first choice to remain at the club for now.

Winter wrote to X:Andy Robertson is a must-have left-back. He has very high standards and is demanding of himself and others. He brings intensity, belief and defensive ability. He will need some rest from time to time, he is 31 years old and Kerkes could take his place, but #LFC It’s going to be even harder to beat Robertson.”.

The Scotland international is in his 30s and Liverpool will need to rest him from time to time to keep him fresh. The Hungarian defender could be an ideal for Robertson to explore at the moment.

Slot will be satisfied with the performance of the experienced defender. He is not only a key player at the club, but also one of the leaders in the locker room. Having him at the club and performing at a high level will be a huge bonus for the team.
