Parrish wins 3A Region 3: The Parrish Community girls golf team won the district championship on Monday, one week after winning the district championship. The Bulls shot 301, beating second place Lutz George Steinbrenner (310) by nine strokes. Venice shot 319 for third place, Lakewood Ranch shot 325 for fourth place and Riverview shot 366 for seventh place.

Venice sophomore Evin Cannon earned individual medalist honors with a score of 72. Parrish junior Natalie Angelo took second place with 73 points. Parrish junior Phoenix Scanlan tied for third with 74 points. Venice junior Ella Gardner shot a 75 to tie for fifth place. Cannon will advance to the 3A state championship as an individual.

St. Stephen’s wins in 1A Region 3: The St. Stephen’s Episcopal boys golf team won the district championship by one stroke on Monday.

The Falcons finished with 300, ahead of Cambridge Christian (301) and Bishop Vero (305). St. Stephen’s University junior Eddie Gu tied for second place individually with 71 points. Cardinal Mooney freshman Niko Goldick Londeros also tied for second with 71 points. He will advance to the 1A state championship as an individual.
