It was certainly an interesting game, but not for the reasons Chelsea had hoped.
Enzo Maresca’s side traveled to Baku to face Qarabag in the Champions League, but instead of building on their weekend derby win, they drew 2-2.
There were a few players who looked good that night, such as Estevao, but most of the team played very poorly.
In fact, some of the squad, such as Jorrell Hato, will almost certainly be left out of the squad for the Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Pigeon direct display vs Karabakh
When Chelsea signed Hato from Ajax in the summer, there was considerable excitement among the fan base, as the 19-year-old was regarded as one of the best young defenders in world football.
After all, before his transfer, he had already made over 100 appearances for the Amsterdam team and won six senior caps for the Dutch national team.
However, even with this experience, he is years away from his prime so it was expected that he would make a mistake with the Blues and unfortunately that is what happened on Wednesday night.

In Qarabag’s first goal, the Dutch player succumbed to muscle strength and was left on the floor to take the first shot, and then completely moved out of the way for the rebound.
Now, one mistake in the game is due to bad luck, and it can happen to anyone.
Unfortunately, it was the teenager who gifted the hosts’ second penalty for a handball just 10 minutes later.
As one content creator put it, it was, after all, a Wednesday pigeon “horror” show, and he was supposed to be off on Saturday.
Unfortunately for Maresca, other starters also played off the team.
Chesley’s star player who played outside the team
There are actually several players whose names can be mentioned here. For example, Hato’s defensive partner Tosin Adarabioyo, who looked equally inexperienced at the back.
But in this case, the starter who has to be on the Timberwolves’ bench this weekend is Tyrik George.
The Cobham graduate was favored over Mark Giu and Liam Delap from the start of Wednesday night’s game, but unfortunately he was unable to repay the manager’s faith.
Defensively, he didn’t make any mistakes that cost the team a goal, but he also didn’t do anything that contributed to the team’s points, which was just as bad considering his position and the opponent.
In fact, the youngster was so unknown that Maresca decided to snag him at half-time. Liam Delap didn’t set the world on fire either, but at least he was noticeable when the Blues had the ball.
That may sound too harsh, but Football London’s Bobby Vincent agreed, giving the Englishman a match rating of 5/10 and generously calling it a “pretty quiet night” for the striker.
Unfortunately, his stats also don’t make for pleasant reading. In 45 minutes of inaction, his expected goals and assists total was just 0.22, he had one blocked shot, only 13 touches, four lost balls and just six completed passes.

At the end of the day, George is not a bad player, but he was completely unknown against Qarabag, so he will have to be left out against Wolves.
