Bayern Munich are in talks with Real Madrid to sign PSG defensive target Ibrahima Konate on a free next summer.
Ibrahima Konate’s future has been a hot topic in recent months. He is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool and could leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
The Reds are keen to renew his contract, but no significant progress has been made on that front yet, which would be a huge boost for potential suitors. According to Bild via SportWitness, Bayern Munich have emerged as a potential destination for the French centre-back.

The German giants consider him the ideal replacement for Dayot Upamecano, who is also out of contract, and are already in talks with the player’s camp. Bayern Munich’s priority is to extend the 27-year-old’s stay, but if that is not possible, Bayern Munich will push to sign Konate.
Manager Tobi Altscheffel said of the Bundesliga giants’ interest in Liverpool’s key players: “I can report this as breaking news: Bayern are in negotiations with coach Konate.
“His contract is expiring and Bayern could sign him on a free transfer. I have heard that Konate’s agent is in talks with Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern. He is a hot player on the market and Bayern are also interested.”
Konate established himself as one of Liverpool’s mainstays under Arne Slott. He is one of the first names on the team sheet and the Dutch manager is working hard to ensure he signs a new contract.

However, the Merseyside club may have a hard time convincing him, with Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid also eyeing his signature. Apart from the German club, his management also held talks with the French and Spanish giants.
PSG are looking for more quality and competition at the back, and Los Blancos see him as the ideal replacement for Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba, who could leave the club when their contracts expire.
