West Ham United are interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber.
According to a report from Fichajes, the 24-year-old midfielder could be signed for a transfer fee of around 20 million euros. The Netherlands will be under pressure to sell the player in January as his contract with the Dutch club ends in 2026.
They wouldn’t want to lose him for nothing at the end of his contract.
West Ham are keen to secure his signature, but it remains to be seen whether a deal will go through. There is no doubt that they have the financial power to cross the line and get the deal done.
Quinten Timber will improve West Ham
Timber can be a very profitable acquisition for them. He has proven his quality in the Netherlands and has the physical and technical attributes to excel in the Premier League. The opportunity to move to West Ham could be an exciting one for him. He plans to test himself at the highest level.
If he can perform well at West Ham, he could secure an even bigger move in the future. His younger brother Julian Timber is a key player for Arsenal and he will also want to compete at that level. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.
Timber has also been linked with a move to Liverpool or Manchester United.
Timber will be a bargain deal
The reported price seems reasonable for a player of his quality. West Ham should aim to get the deal over the line. The player has the ability to justify an investment of 20 million euros in the future. If he can get back on track in English football, this move could look like a bargain.
West Ham have been quite underperforming so far and will be hoping to survive in the Premier League. They need quality reinforcements in January to bounce back.
