Leeds have made a promising start to their return to the Premier League, but their form has declined significantly in recent weeks, meaning they are starting to languish near the bottom of the table.

Leeds have won just one of their last six Premier League games (2-1 against West Ham), leaving them 16th in the table, just one point from the relegation zone. This form led to increased pressure on Daniel Farke, who is currently not in the Elland Road faithful’s good books.

There has been significant speculation over Falke’s future in recent weeks and, according to Mick Brown (via Football Insider), the paper may already be written to the Leeds manager.

“It’s difficult to predict what Leeds will do going forward. There was talk of him leaving in the summer, but in the end that didn’t happen and we decided to keep him instead.”

“I think there are some problems at Leeds. It’s not just the manager’s problem, but in the end it’s always the manager’s fault if you’re not getting results. It hasn’t been the worst start for them and they’re not in the relegation zone at the moment, but the teams below them are starting to pile up points. At the same time, they’ve hit a period of instability and suddenly they’re in trouble. At Leeds, the team are starting to pile up points.

“Some of the decisions the manager has taken have not been well-received by the fans, and many of them have turned on him and are starting to call for him to be sacked. If that happens, it will be difficult to recover from that, and if we continue to lose games after the international break, there will be serious doubts.”

Leeds will need to get back into form after the international break as Farke could lose his job.
