Two managers have emerged as candidates to replace Daniel Farke at Leeds

Leeds could appoint a new manager in the coming weeks, with pressure mounting on manager Daniel Farke at Elland Road. With one win from six games, they have fallen to 16th in the Premier League standings, only one point out of the relegation zone.

There were doubts about Farke’s ability to lead Leeds in the Premier League, but he was given the opportunity by club executives after winning the Championship last season. So far, their faith has not been compromised or wavered, but if their slide in the standings continues, it will become increasingly likely that the Germans will be cut off.

According to the Daily Mail (via Leeds United News), Leeds have listed two former Premier League managers as potential replacements should Farke be sacked. They are Brendan Rodgers, who recently resigned from Celtic, and Ange Postecoglou, who is looking for a third Premier League job in 2025 after previously being sacked by Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.

Rodgers and Postecoglou both have a track record of winning trophies, but both lack significant experience when it comes to battling relegation in the Premier League. Given that Leeds are certain to be out for the final stages of the season, it may be wise to consider a more suitable manager in the event of Farke’s departure.

First and foremost, Leeds will be hoping that Falke will be back to form in the coming weeks following the home game against Aston Villa after the international break. But if that is not possible, then change will be necessary and it will be interesting to see who the Elland Road hierarchy will go for when the time comes.
