Leeds United are eyeing the ‘attractive’ Brazilian forward after he was named in ‘conversations with Red Bull’ in January.

Leeds lack goal threat in Premier League

The Whites have struggled in front of goal in the Premier League so far, with the second-worst attack in the top flight. Daniel Farke’s side have scored just 10 goals in 11 games, with bottom-of-the-table Wolves the only team with fewer goals (seven).

49ers-Enterprise also wasn’t able to spend big in the final third over the summer, as strikers Lucas Nmeka and Dominic Calvert-Lewin arrived on free transfers.

Noah Okafor is AC Milan’s most expensive attacking addition and has been one of Leeds’ few bright spots heading into this season.

Centre-back Joe Rodon is now Leeds’ top scorer with two goals so far, underscoring the fact that the Whites need more firepower in the second half of the season to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Leeds have considered a loan move for Fulham attacker Harry Wilson, but that failed, leaving them with a new attacking target.

Leeds keen to sign Jon Jon

According to a report from Leeds United News, Leeds are eyeing the signing of versatile attacker John John, who plays for Brazilian Serie A side Red Bull Bragantino.

Journalist Graham Bailey called John “a fascinating player” and said his name “came up in conversations with Red Bull”.

“He’s an attractive player. Very interesting. He’s a bit of an attacking midfielder, but he can also play as a forward. His name came up in conversations with Red Bull and he’s one of Red Bull’s names. He’s a good age, he’s a good player. He ticks a lot of boxes. He’s a great player. He’s a great player. He’s a great player. He’s a great player. He’s a great player. He’s a great player. He’s an attacking midfielder, but he’s also been mentioned as a forward. He’s a good player. He’s a great player.

“It’s not just Leeds who are paying attention. He comes up in conversations, but I had never heard of him until recently.”

The 23-year-old previously played for Palmeiras but has gone from strength to strength with Red Bull Bragantino.

John currently holds a career-high valuation of €9 million at Transfermarkt, having scored 15 goals and provided 12 assists in 69 appearances for his current employer.

2025 is also John’s best year in front of goal, and at the right price he could be an interesting addition for Los Blancos.

However, the 49ers will likely need more firepower than just John, but looking at the situation, his name will be one to keep an eye on heading into 2026.
