Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with a move from the club.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Roma are interested in signing him and are willing to pay him his current salary. The player is valued at £31 million and it will be interesting to see whether the Italian side sign him on loan or on a permanent basis.
Manchester United ready to release Joshua Zirkzee
Manchester United are willing to allow him to leave, but manager Ruben Amorim does not consider him a key part of his plans. According to the report, the Portuguese coach is unsure of what position he should play in the Dutch national team and believes the striker is not a good fit for his system.
In that case, Manchester United would be wise to ban the player for life. A move to Roma could be ideal for him. The Dutch international played his best football against Italy’s Bologna, but he could be back to his best in his comfort zone.
Zirkzee needs game time
He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. With the World Cup coming up in 2026, he will want to be part of the national team. Sitting on the bench at Manchester United will not do him any favors.
Benjamin Sesco is currently Manchester United’s first-choice striker and a move for the Dutchman would be ideal.
It remains to be seen whether Roma will be able to seal a deal. They are one of Italy’s biggest clubs and would be an attractive destination for the player. He will be desperate to do the right thing and get his career back on track.
