Fichajes reports that they could offer €40 million to sign the Spanish defender. He has performed well for Chelsea this season and has also impressed with the national team.

Cucurella is hailed as an underrated player. There is no doubt that he is a reliable performer for Chelsea and it is no wonder that the first team are keen on him.

Atlético keen to sign Marc Cucurella

Atlético Madrid want to add more quality and depth to the full-back area. Signing a Spanish international could be ideal for them. But convincing Chelsea will be difficult. The Blues want to get back to the top of English football and will not be willing to part with one of their best players.

Even if they agree to sell the Spain international, they are certain to ask for well over 40 million euros. Atletico Madrid may have to pay a premium to seal the deal.

If Atletico Madrid can make this deal, it could be a huge coup for them. The defender is at the peak of his career and has the potential to make a serious splash in La Liga. He has already proven himself in the Premier League with Brighton and Chelsea. There is no doubt that he has the ability to succeed in Spain as well.

It remains to be seen whether he is ready to take on a new challenge at this stage of his career. Chelsea also have an exciting project and have recently won some trophies. There is no reason for the defender to leave the club anytime soon. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
