  • Ibrahima Konate could be sold
  • Reds must convince Konate

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate could be set to leave the club.

The player’s contract expires at the end of the season, but he has not yet signed a contract extension with the Premier League. According to Christian Falk, the player is now aware that Liverpool want to sell him unless he signs an extension.

Ibrahima Konate could be sold

Faulk claimed on CFBayernInsider: “Konate knows that Liverpool want to sell him if he is not ready to sign a new contract, so he has to make a decision now. Bayern have said they are interested, so it could be difficult for them if the Frenchman decides to sign a new contract with Liverpool.”

German champions Bayern Munich are interested in the player. It will be interesting to see if the player is ready to commit his long-term future to an English club.

The France international is now ready to decide on his future as soon as possible. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

He is an important player for Liverpool and losing Konate will be a blow to Liverpool. They want to keep him at the club for as long as possible. He has reached the peak of his powers and is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

If Liverpool want to regularly compete for major trophies, they need to retain their best players. Keeping the France international would be ideal for them. They should do everything in their power to convince the player to sign a new contract.

He fought for major trophies with Liverpool and was able to win the league title. He has no reason to leave the club now. It would be ideal for him to sign a new contract and continue fighting for trophies with the Premier League side.
