Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Monaco attacker Magnes Akrios.
The 23-year-old is a key player for the French national team, contributing 19 goals last season. According to Fichajes, Tottenham have been tracking him for quite some time and have now contacted the French team to officially confirm their interest in the player.
Spurs focus on transfer of Magnes Akurios
They want to sign the French winger and it will be interesting to see if they can reach an agreement with Monaco in January. They need more quality in their side and the 23-year-old will add some much-needed unpredictability to the side.
A move to the Premier League could be the ideal progression for Akurios. He is a promising attacker with good technique. He has the qualities that have helped him succeed in England and could establish himself as a very useful player for Tottenham.
Spurs need Akuriosh
At times the North London side looked short on ideas in the final third. Signing the French attacker could be a game-changer for them. He’s great when it comes to playing against guys in one-on-one situations and beating them. He will add flair, agility and unpredictability to the side.
Furthermore, Akuriosh is only 23 years old. He has time to develop further and fulfill his world-class potential. This deal could look like a bargain in the future, even if Tottenham have to pay a premium for him now.
It remains to be seen whether Monaco are prepared to allow him to leave midway through the season. That will be a blow to them. Akuriosh is one of the first names on the team sheet and has great potential. No club would want to lose a player like him so easily.
