What was supposed to be a night of redemption turned into a brutal defeat, with goals from Ivan Perisic, Guus Till and a brace from Kuhaib Drieş, exposing Liverpool’s team’s disintegration and lack of ideas.

One Twitter user recalled Slot’s title-winning success and claimed he “deserves all the respect”, but also freely admitted he might not survive this defeat.
Another fan said, “I’ve been slotting in too, but I think it’s best to part ways with everyone right now.”
Another said: “Did Slott pick basically the same team again and expect a different outcome? No fight, no identity, no plan. Terrible.”
Some fans accused him of insisting on playing against underperforming players, especially Kodi Gakpo over Chiesa and highly-rated youngster Rio Ngmoja.
Another player said: “The only three players who have given their all this season are Ekitike, Chiesa and Shobo. The irony is Arne.
– Tried to replace Shobo in the summer.
– Chiesa will not start despite being arguably our second best forward this season.
– When Ekitike was doing well, he was on the bench.”
Some argued that Slott needed to go, but that it was the players who had let him down.
One person said, “Yeah, I wanted to see him survive, but he’s gone after this. A disgrace to any player. They brought the tools down on him. Pathetic.”
Mr Slott may have lost his dressing room, one person suggested.
