Chelsea are reportedly interested in Arsenal youngster Miles Lewis-Skelly.

The 19-year-old is highly regarded in England and has a bright future ahead of him. He has struggled to earn regular minutes at the north London club and Chelsea would be willing to offer him an exit route.

Chelsea believe he is a player of the future and are prepared to give him a key role in the team. They want to develop him into a key player for the club.

It will be interesting to see whether Arsenal are prepared to allow him to leave. They wouldn’t want to lose a promising young talent like him. But if they want to keep him at the club, they will need to give him more opportunities.

“Chelsea are very keen to sell Lewis Skelly and want to sign him and make him a key player, but that is not guaranteed at Arsenal,” manager Mark Bulls told the Daily Briefing.

A player of his caliber would not want to sit on the bench every week at Arsenal. If they can’t give him the platform he needs, he might consider moving on in the future. Chelsea could certainly use a higher quality player in the full-back area and the 19-year-old would be a long-term investment for Chelsea.

He has all the tools to develop into a quality Premier League defender. A move to Chelsea could be an exciting opportunity for him, especially if he fails to secure a place at Arsenal.

Arsenal have an extraordinary team packed with talent. It may be difficult for them to get the 19-year-old into the starting lineup on a regular basis. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops in the coming months.
