  • Lenny Yolo criticized for Man United’s poor performance
  • Ruben Amorim is hungry for victory

Sky Sports journalist William Vitibili has criticized Manchester United defender Lenny Yolo’s performance against Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils have now lost their game against Palace at Selhurst Park thanks to a penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The attacker took the penalty awarded by United defender Yoro himself.

Mateta easily won the spot kick, but was told to retake the penalty because he touched the ball twice on his first attempt.

The French attacker did not make a second mistake and scored for his team, giving them a deserved lead in the first half.

Vitibili, who reported on the match on the official Sky Sports website, named Yoro as a player who looked unstable against Oliver Glasner Palace.

he said:

“Yoro ignored it all afternoon. This is an obvious spot kick. It’s a clumsy one on his part.”

The young French defender, who has been Man United’s first choice all season, struggled against the physical Mateta at Selhurst Park today.

United’s defensive woes are far from over. This was a must-win game for them, having just lost 1-0 against Everton at Old Trafford.

There is still a long way to go in this game, but Yoro and his defensive partners need to perform well and build the foundations of the attacking line for Amorim to produce positive results.

As it stands, Man United are currently struggling in the bottom half of the table and looked poor in all departments at Selhurst Park today, despite being desperate for a win today.
