Vladislav Gavrikov scored just over a minute into overtime, leading the New York Rangers to a 3-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night, snapping Dallas’ four-game winning streak. Gavrikov’s backhand goal came at 1:09 into overtime.

Carson Soucy and Will Quill also contributed goals for the Rangers, who have now won four of their last five games. Artemi Panarin provided two assists, while Mika Zibanejad’s assist on the overtime winner gave him a total of two goals and three assists over his last four games. Quill’s wrist shot tied the game in the third period with just 2:13 left. Rangers’ goalie Igor Shesterkin made 23 saves in the win. For the Stars, Kyle Capobianco and Mikko Rantanen scored, with goalie Casey DeSmith stopping 38 shots.

Next up, the Rangers will face the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night, while the Stars will visit the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night.
