Arsenal are reported to have a concrete interest in signing Eintracht Frankfurt winger Gian-Mateo Bahoya, who is valued at €70 million, for next summer.

The highly-rated 20-year-old has been attracting attention in the Bundesliga and the Gunners appear to be keeping a keen eye on him.

Bajoya has previously been linked with other Premier League clubs, but Florian Plettenberg has now written to X about his future, revealing that Arsenal are the most interested.

For the latest information on Plettenberg, see below. He also claims that Eintracht Frankfurt have been informed of Arsenal’s interest in the Frenchman and that the transfer fee could be up to €70 million…

He posted: “Arsenal are monitoring Gian Mateo closely.” #Bajoya. Their interest in the summer is concrete and Eintracht Frankfurt have been informed of this. Manager Markus Clochet is demanding up to 70 million euros for the 20-year-old left winger. His contract runs until 2029. ”

Will Arsenal add Jean-Mateo Bajoya to their squad?

Even if he remains a key player for Mikel Arteta, Leandro Trossard is not getting any younger, so Arsenal would do well to bring such a top young wide forward into the squad next season.

It’s sometimes difficult to get the balance right, but in the near future Arsenal could do well to have a slightly younger squad here and there, and Bahoya looks like someone worth investing in.

The former Angers youngster is still inexperienced at the highest level, but despite not necessarily being a starter, he has scored six goals in 58 games since moving to the Bundesliga.

So far this season, he has two goals and one assist, and while those numbers aren’t all that impressive, he’s someone who could improve significantly over the next few years given the right coaching and guidance.
