Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Troy Parrott in the coming months.
The Ireland international striker has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with his former club hoping to have him back. According to Viharges, Tottenham are willing to pay €35 million to sign the 23-year-old striker. Parrott has been doing very well in the Netherlands, scoring 14 goals for AZ Alkmaar this season.
Leeds United are also interested in Parrott.
He also performed outstandingly for his country in recent World Cup qualifiers. He scored important goals against Hungary and Portugal and is now a national hero. He could be open to a new challenge and a return to the Premier League would be ideal. The striker may feel he has unfinished business at the north London club.
Will the Spurs bring back Troy Parrott?
Tottenham decided to let him leave after failing to establish himself as a player in London’s first team. The 23-year-old has since been able to prove his quality in Dutch football and will feel he has the quality to play in the Premier League. It’s no secret that Tottenham need more quality in the final third. They haven’t been able to find the back of the goal on a regular basis. The former academy graduate could be ideal for them.
Spurs dominate in parrot races
Turkish side Fenerbahce are also keen on signing him. However, Tottenham have an advantage in the race due to their connection with the player. It will be interesting to see if the Dutch team intends to sanction his departure for 35 million euros.
At 23 years old, he still has room for improvement and he could develop into a quality striker if Tottenham are able to sign him.
