Liverpool and Arsenal are currently reportedly eyeing the chance to sign the Paris Saint-Germain attacker in 2026.

Salah’s rant sums up Liverpool’s misery

Ao Tanaka’s late equalizer was just what Liverpool needed most. The Reds cruised to a 2-0 run to level the score at 2-2, then had only themselves to blame after trailing 3-2 at the end of the game. Over the course of 99 minutes, the Premier League champions exposed their problems for everyone to see.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah watched his third consecutive match from the bench. And it was the second time in three games that the Egyptian player was not even allowed to step on the pitch. When Liverpool needed a goal, last year’s Golden Boot winner and top playmaker had no choice but to watch, but to say he wasn’t satisfied would be an understatement.

The Anfield icon went on a full-time rant in an explosive rant about Arne Slott’s recent decisions, saying: “When I think about what I have done for the club, it really breaks my heart, as you can imagine, really.

Reds could deal another blow to Newcastle

“When you go from home to the club, you don’t know if you’re starting or not. I know the club well, I’ve been here for years. Tomorrow (Jamie) Carragher will be asking for me again and again and that’s fine.”

“Ever since I came to the Premier League, I’ve been at this club and I’ve scored more goals than anyone in this generation. I don’t think anyone has scored more goals and provided more assists than me. Even in the Premier League as a whole. If I were anywhere else, everyone would go in front of the media and defend the players. I’m the only one in this situation.”

It couldn’t be more disgusting for Liverpool, but they will now have to make a decision. Will they back Salah or Slott? That’s the question, and if the manager wins the war, they’ll have to find a replacement for one of the best players of all time.

Liverpool face Arsenal in Barcola race

According to France’s Le10 Sport, relayed by Sport Witness, Liverpool are now very strong candidates along with Arsenal to sign Bradley Barcola, as the PSG winger continues to consider signing a new contract in Ligue 1.

As it stands, his contract does not expire until 2028, but PSG are looking to secure new terms to avoid possible termination in the coming years. However, Barcola is still reluctant to put pen to paper on a new contract, which could leave the door with Liverpool ajar.

If Liverpool become more urgent in their search for Salah’s replacement, Barcola should be on their list as well. The Frenchman has outscored the Egyptian in less time so far this season and is destined to get even better at only 23 years old.

Described by European football expert Zac Lowy as “one of the best wingers in Europe”, Barcola’s contract status is worth keeping an eye on, especially if Liverpool call him up next year.
