Chelsea’s owner Bruko is currently closing in on the permanent acquisition of highly talented midfielder Muhammad Zongo.
Chelsea scouted the 16-year-old during the Under-17 World Cup and Bruko has now agreed to sign him. According to Fabrizio Romano, the player will head to RC Strasbourg to continue his development.
The Burkina Faso midfielder joins from Sporting Cascades FC. It will be interesting to see if he can establish himself as an important player for the French team and eventually make it to Chelsea. He’s a talented player and I’m looking forward to his future. The opportunity to compete in European football will be exciting for him. He wants to play for a big club like Chelsea in the future.
Zongo’s development was not only closely watched by Chelsea, but other top clubs as well. It will be interesting to see if he gets enough opportunities at the French club and is able to continue his development at a high level of regular football. He has the potential to develop into a quality player with the right guidance.
If he can continue to develop over the next few seasons, he is likely to end up at Chelsea. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him and he hopes to prove himself in the Premier League in the future.
Meanwhile, the 16-year-old will be a long-term asset for Bruco and they will be hoping he can fulfill his potential with them. The player could ultimately save millions of dollars in the transfer market.
Zongo is an attacking midfielder, but also has the ability to function as an advanced central midfielder. He has the technical ability to compete at a high level and needs to be properly developed.
