The Buffalo Sabers have made adjustments to their lineup. They announced the promotion of forward Noah Ostlund from their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans, while forward Trevor Kunter has been sent back to Rochester.

Ostlund has played 20 games with the Sabers this season, contributing three goals, three assists, 12 blocks, and maintaining a plus-1 rating. In the AHL with Rochester, he has tallied three goals, seven assists, and ten points over seven games. As a former first-round draft pick and a highly regarded prospect, Ostlund’s latest call-up is sure to attract attention from fans.

Meanwhile, Kunter recently made his NHL debut on December 11 against the Vancouver Canucks after signing an NHL contract with Buffalo earlier in the week. In his first game, Kunter registered one hit and had a minus-1 rating in 5 minutes and 12 seconds on the ice. This season with the AMERKS, he has scored nine goals, provided four assists, accumulated 13 points, and has 43 penalty minutes over 24 games.

Fan Take: This roster shuffle is exciting for Sabers fans as it highlights the team’s commitment to developing young talent like Ostlund and Kunter. Watching these players grow and make an impact in the NHL could signal a promising future for the franchise and bring more energy to the sport.
