  • El Cannous fans will be disappointed fans

Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Kanous is currently on loan at German club VfB Stuttgart.

The midfielder has performed very well with the German national team and is expected to join on a permanent transfer. The Moroccan international has no desire to return to an English club in the future and has made some rather harsh comments about Leicester in the past.

It looks like players have taken a swipe at their championship outfits again. In a recent interview, the midfielder explained that Leicester City had made it very difficult for him to leave in the summer and that he was perplexed by the resistance from the club as he had a release clause in his contract.

“We reached an agreement with Stuttgart. They were always there,” he added (h/t SportWitness).

“And to be honest, this summer was not easy, but I am happy. It was difficult to find a way out of Leicester. Leicester did not make it easy for me. What I especially did not understand was why it did not work out, even though I had a release clause.”

His comments will not go down well with Leicester City fans. It is clear that he is not happy with the way his transfers were handled during the summer transfer window. However, he should have treated the club more professionally.

Although he does not want to play for them again and wants to compete at a higher level, Leicester City played an important role in his development. They gave him valuable Premier League experience and fans would have expected the player to show more respect for the club.

It will be interesting to see if he can sort out his long-term future and focus on his football. There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a promising future and deserves to compete at a high level.

Newcastle’s target is El Cannous.
