Crystal Palace and Everton are interested in signing KRC Genk defender Zakaria El Ouadi.

According to Sascha Tavolieri, the 23-year-old could be signed in January for a transfer fee of around 10-12 million euros.

Crystal Palace and Everton want to sign him. Whether they can complete the deal remains to be seen.

Palace could use Zakaria El Ouadi

Crystal Palace need a quality back-up option for Daniel Muñoz and Zakaria could be a great signing for them. They are already close to signing the player and it remains to be seen whether they will be able to reach an agreement with the club.

The asking price is quite reasonable and Crystal Palace certainly have the resources to get the deal done.

They are currently competing in European football and aim to compete at a high level on a regular basis. They need a better team.

The 23-year-old defender could be a very useful acquisition for them.

Meanwhile, Everton are also keeping an eye on their defenders. They need a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman. The 23-year-old looks like the ideal player and could replace the Everton icon.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League would be a very exciting one for Zakaria. It will be a big step up in his career and he will test himself at a high level. Genk is unlikely to stand in his way and the asking price is extremely nominal for a player of his quality. Crystal Palace and Everton have the resources to spare on him and it will be interesting to see what decision they make.
