Chaos Erupts at Misfits Boxing Press Conference After Fighter’s Shocking Insult Targets Rival’s Mother

Former Misfits boxing champion Dean the Great made a striking statement at tonight’s press conference as he collapsed to the floor, saying, “When you go low, we go low.”

The undefeated lightweight quickly became a standout star in the promotion, amassing a series of knockout victories and emerging as perhaps the only real boxing phenomenon from the original Misfits roster.

However, his outspoken nature may have backfired as he launched disrespectful attacks on rival Almado Vargas’ mother during today’s controversial press event. Fans expressed their outrage on social media, with clips from the Andrew Tate-headlined event gaining widespread attention.

Misfits Boxing seems to be courting controversy linked to Andrew Tate’s presence. Before the arrival of UFC legend Tony Ferguson, host Ben Davies and promotion head Mams Taylor managed a peculiar undercard press conference.

Anthony Taylor attempted to rally support from India ahead of his fight with Neeraj Goyat, poking fun at the country’s shortage of world champions despite its population. Meanwhile, professional boxers Amir Anderson and Joe Rose had to be separated after a heated face-off that turned physical.

In another odd moment, women’s boxing champion Carla Jade accused her rival of altering her facial appearance through steroid use.

The atmosphere took a turn for the worse when Dean the Great and Almado Vargas traded verbal blows that spilled over into the crowd. There was clearly bad blood between Dean, who came with a small group, and Vargas, who arrived with his well-known boxing family.

When Vargas’ mother Martha shouted something from the crowd that Dean disliked, he snapped back, telling her: “You in Dubai, go to the kitchen,” and repeated a disparaging “quesadilla” comment.

He continued by telling her to “shut up” because she “can’t fight for your son” and accused her of starting the feud. Dean taunted her further with remarks like, “This is an eye for an eye,” and mocked his opponent for having no comeback due to his wealthy background — noting that Vargas is a son of two-time world champion Fernando Vargas.

He ridiculed Vargas for trivial things like never eating cereal without milk and even mocked the fact that he was breastfed as a baby, despite this being a natural and recommended practice for infants.

Fan Take: This press conference brings to light the growing tension and drama that can help build hype but also risks crossing lines of respect in the sport. For fighting fans, this show of hostility adds fuel to the rivalry and could make upcoming fights more intense and emotionally charged, while also spotlighting the importance of maintaining professionalism.
