Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old has been in great form this season, attracting interest from Liverpool and Manchester United. According to Dean Jones, the player is open to the idea of joining Liverpool.
Liverpool sign Antoine Semenyo?
Former Bournemouth manager Richard Hughes, currently at Liverpool, could play a key role in a potential transfer. Due to a release clause in his contract, the player’s transfer fee will be £65m. It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool make an offer to sign the player next month. They need more quality in their side and the 25-year-old could add some much-needed goalscoring and creativity to the side.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are also interested in the player and believe they could be open to signing him. It remains to be seen what the players will decide. He will want to compete at a high level and fight for big trophies. Liverpool might be a better fit for him at the moment. Manchester United are in a period of rebuilding.
Liverpool have struggled as well, but they have a great team and managed to win the league title last season. There is a high possibility that there will be a strong reaction.
Semenyo would be a quality signing.
Although the reported asking price may seem expensive at the moment, the player is well established in England and could make an impact right away. He is at the peak of his career. He could play his best football in the coming seasons and justify the investment.
It remains to be seen where he will end up. The Cherries would not want to lose a key player like him, but they are powerless to stop him from leaving due to a release clause.
