Richarlison grabbed a late goal for Tottenham against Liverpool this evening as he watched the game come to a frantic end at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With Xavi Simmons sent off in the first half, Spurs were given a mountain to climb as they faced the Reds with just 10 men.

Alexander Isak scored early in the second period to give Liverpool the lead, but was sent off shortly afterwards with a potentially serious injury.

Hugo Ekitike added a second goal for the visitors soon after, but Richarlison could have made things interesting again in the closing stages with a late strike.

Watch Richarlison punish Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk’s sloppy defending and fire a low shot into the back of the goal from close range below.

For some reason, he comes face to face with LFC midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, but is unwisely dragged away by his teammates…

Shortly after this, Christy Romero was also given his marching orders for a nasty challenge on Ibrahima Konate, and Tottenham were reduced to nine men.

Spurs haven’t really made things easy live for themselves, but this still proved to be a very interesting contest between two teams that often put on a show when they play each other.
