On Sunday night, two players from the New Jersey Devils hit significant career milestones during their game against the Buffalo Sabres. Colton White marked his 100th NHL game, while Luke Glendening reached the impressive milestone of his 900th NHL game.

White, who was drafted by the Devils in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Draft, has spent the majority of his professional career with the team. The 28-year-old initially played for the Devils from the 2018-19 season through 2021-22 before moving to the Anaheim Ducks for the 2022-23 season. He returned to the Devils this season, participating in four games. White has recorded four assists in 16 NHL games so far, with 54 games played against the Devils and 46 with Anaheim, totaling 14 points all from assists.

Meanwhile, Luke Glendening celebrated his 900th NHL game on the same night. He began his NHL journey with the Detroit Red Wings in the 2013-14 season as an undrafted player. Now 36, Glendening played eight seasons with Detroit, two with the Dallas Stars, two with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and currently with the Devils this season. He has played 36 games this year, contributing three assists, and holds career stats of 83 goals, 86 assists, and 169 points in total.

Both players commemorated their milestones together at the Prudential Center despite the Devils’ 3-1 loss to the Sabres. Their achievements highlight steady dedication and the impact seasoned players bring to the team.

Fan Take: Milestones like these emphasize the hard work and longevity required to succeed in the NHL, inspiring young players and fans alike. Celebrating such achievements keeps the spirit of the game alive and shows the value of experience in shaping competitive teams.
