Crystal Palace have had a good season so far and will be looking to add quality to their squad in January as they aim for a successful season. Manager Oliver Glasner is looking to bring in a new winger and the club has set its sights on Brennan Johnson in recent weeks.

Tottenham are open to selling Johnson, which is not in manager Thomas Frank’s plans. Crystal Palace are also in the race, as are other clubs, but it seems very possible they could bring him to Selhurst Park.

According to Football Insider, Keith Wyness has revealed that Crystal Palace are favorites to sign Jawson ahead of Ipswich and Brentford.

“Well, I think Palace are the real option for him, and I think it’s Ipswich that are giving the positive buzz because they’ve had a really good run of late in the Championship, getting back into the promotion range or at least back into the play-offs.”

“Yes, I think there is a possibility that Brendan Johnson could move to Palace. I think he has the talent. He was a bit shaky at Spurs, but he will be looking at it as well as whether Glasner is there. So that might make the decision for him as well.”

“It looks like Kieran McKenna still remains loyal to Ipswich, but we’ll see how that turns out. As a young player, I think he’s like a confident striker who needs an arm around his shoulders. He’ll make a decision based on that, but definitely I think Palace. I’ve heard about Brentford, but I think Palace and Ipswich are the two favorites. I expect him to move pretty quickly.”

Should Crystal Palace sign Brennan Johnson?

Crystal Palace clearly need winger reinforcements and Johnson would be the best option. It remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached with Tottenham.
