Leeds have found form in recent weeks and will be hoping to continue that momentum in the transfer window. The plan is to address several positions in Daniel Farke’s side, one of which is defense.
Falke’s switch to a back three was a great success, but it also means Leeds need to bring in at least one more centre-back. Links with multiple candidates have emerged in recent weeks, with Elland Road officials now turning their attention to another candidate, Axel DiSasi.
Leeds register interest in Axel DiSasi
According to a report by Football Insider, Leeds are interested in signing Disasi on loan for the second half of the season. The 27-year-old has been in Chelsea’s reserves since the summer, so there is a good chance a deal could be reached in the coming weeks.
Chelsea have made it clear that DiSasi is not in high demand and are therefore hoping to let him go in January. They would like to agree a move, but given it is midway through the season they will almost certainly have to settle for a second successive loan since joining Aston Villa 11 months ago.
Should Leeds pursue Axel Disasi?
Disasi showed signs of promise at Chelsea after joining from Monaco in 2023, but has not been relied upon at Stamford Bridge in the last 12 to 18 months. Despite this, he is very capable of becoming a player at Premier League level and would be a good option for Leeds to sign.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds will make a serious move for DiSasi when the transfer window opens later this week. The project only has one month to run, so the plan is to get signatures as soon as possible.
