Henry Cejudo Set to Face Another Unretired UFC Hall of Famer in Epic Return Bout

Henry Cejudo, also known as “Triple C,” is set to compete against a new Octagon legend he has never battled before. Cejudo retired last month after his loss to Peyton Talbot at UFC 323, declaring that his recent fight would be his final one. Transitioning from wrestling, the 38-year-old achieved a remarkable MMA career, earning titles in two UFC weight divisions. Though he plans to pursue interests outside fighting, news has emerged that he will be making a comeback to competition soon.

Recently, it was revealed that Henry Cejudo will headline Real American Freestyle (RAF) 06 in Tempe, Arizona, on February 26th. Returning to his wrestling roots, “Triple C” joins the event after retiring from MMA in 2020 and enduring four consecutive losses during a failed UFC comeback attempt. His opponent is Urijah Faber, a fellow UFC Hall of Famer who also made a return to fighting years after retirement. Faber closed his MMA career with a win over Brad Pickett in 2026 and a knockout loss to Petr Yan in late 2019. The 46-year-old has since won two grappling matches and is ready to face Cejudo in this upcoming bout.

Additionally, UFC veteran Clay Guida was previously announced for RAF06, though his opponent remains unknown. Former UFC flyweight Muhamad Mokaev, who left the promotion controversially in 2024 with a 7-0 Octagon record, will compete against Bryce Meredith. Mokaev recently claimed the BRAVE CF flyweight title by knocking out Gerard Burns with a head kick.

Fan Take: This upcoming fight between Cejudo and Faber is a thrilling reunion of two iconic fighters making significant comebacks, offering fans a nostalgic yet fresh spectacle. It highlights an exciting trend of MMA legends returning to their roots, which could revitalize interest and bring new stories to the sport’s evolving landscape.
