Leeds United are looking to add depth and quality in the center of the park and have identified Joe Willock as a target.

According to a report from iNews, they want to sign the Newcastle United midfielder and it will be interesting to see if they can do so in January. They previously signed Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United.

Leeds could use Joe Willock

They hope to add more quality to their squad during the January transfer window. Leeds are fighting to survive in the Premier League and need more quality. Willock could be a great acquisition for them. He will add creativity and technical ability to the team.

The player’s contract expires in the summer of 2027, so Newcastle could be willing to sell him for a reasonable price. Clubs such as Fulham and Crystal Palace have also been linked with the player.

Willock is not a regular starter at Newcastle, so it is unlikely that Willock will stand in his way if a suitable offer is made in the coming weeks. They are likely to sanction his departure. They could use that money to improve their team.

Newcastle are looking to build a squad for the future and want to compete for major evidence on a regular basis. They need more quality and depth in the side and selling peripheral players could improve the squad even further.

Willock, on the other hand, will be desperate to make his mark in the Premier League with regular football. Joining Leeds United could be ideal for him. If he proves to be a key player for Leeds, he could secure an even bigger move in the future.
