Manchester United are looking to sign a quality midfielder and are hoping to sign Atalanta star Ederson dos Santos.

The Brazilian has had an impressive record with the Italian club and has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past. The Italian team could sell him for a fee of less than 40 million euros, which could prove to be a bargain at that price. According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are confirming the player’s potential transfer through an intermediary.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United make a move for him in the coming days. Ederson has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Manchester United could use Ederson dos Santos

Manchester United are looking to sign a quality midfielder this month. The Brazilian will undoubtedly add control, composure and defensive coverage to the flank. He will be able to help them grow significantly.

The chance of a move to the Premier League would be exciting for South American players as well. He has proven his quality in Italy and will now aim for even bigger challenges. Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world and it would be difficult to turn down the opportunity to play there.

The reported asking price is reasonable for a player of his quality and would easily justify the investment.

However, it is not easy to sign a player midway through the season. The Italian team are reluctant to lose him before the summer transfer window and it would be very surprising if they decided to sell him this month. The player also hopes to join a club playing Champions League football next season. Manchester United may not be able to guarantee that at the moment. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to convince the club and player about a move in January.
