Leeds United are interested in signing AS Roma striker Artem Dovvik.
The player has been linked with a move from the Italian club in recent weeks and it will be interesting to see if Leeds are able to bring the Ukrainian to the Premier League in the coming days. It’s no secret that they need more depth on the offensive line. The 28-year-old could play an important role for them.
Dobvik has also been linked with Newcastle.
Roma want to sell Artyom Dovvik
Roma are reportedly close to signing Giacomo Raspadori and are therefore prepared to let the Ukrainian player go. According to TMW, Sunderland, along with Leeds United, are monitoring his situation closely. It will be interesting to see which of the two English clubs can sign him.
Leeds are currently fighting for survival in the Premier League and need more quality if they are to survive. Adding another goalscorer to the team would be ideal.
Dovbyk may make a move
However, the player would also be attracted to the idea of a move to the Premier League. He is at the peak of his career and it is the perfect time to take on a new challenge. He is not wanted by Italian clubs, so it would make sense for him to move and join a club where he will get regular chances.
Leeds United have been overly reliant on Dominic Calvert-Lewin. However, the former Everton striker needs more support in attack. Signing the Ukrainian could help Leeds move up in the final third.
It remains to be seen whether they can follow through with Sunderland’s signature win. The Black Cats have performed very well since being promoted to the Premier League. They are aiming for a place in the top half this season and the Ukrainian striker could be tempted to join them.
