Arsenal currently lead the race to sign the ‘Unstoppable’ forward, ahead of Manchester United, who have made contact to sign him.
Gunners step up hunt for new attacker
The Gunners are on pace at the top of the Premier League, six points behind Manchester City after the weekend’s games, but signing a new forward appears to still be on the table, with two offers made for the Real Madrid forward.
The north Londoner has reportedly made bids for both Rodirgo and Brahim Dias, as well as being in touch with Juventus star Kenan Yildiz, and has been keeping an eye on the Turkish winger.
Transfer target | League match on 25/26 | commitment to goals |
rodrigo | 17 | 5 |
Brahim Diaz | 12 | 2 |
Kenan Yildiz | 17 | 10 |
Manager Mikel Arteta remains keen to strengthen his attacking options and summer signing Eberechi Eze has struggled to fit into the manager’s plans, failing to feature on the bench in the last four Premier League games.
There is another update on Arsenal’s pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi, with Caught Offside reporting that Arsenal are now ahead of Man United in the race to sign the player.
Such is the interest from the Gunners that they have filed for an investigation into signing the Dortmund forward, and a deal could become possible if the German club is willing to cash in this month rather than waiting until the end of the season.
The Bundesliga side could demand a transfer fee of up to €70m (about £61m) for the versatile forward, who can play on both wings and as a centre-forward, meaning the north Londoners may need to spend big to beat the likes of United and Barcelona.
‘Unstoppable’ Adeyemi impresses in Champions League
The 23-year-old, described by scout Ben Mattinson as “unstoppable”, has been an eye-catcher in this season’s Champions League, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five appearances.

Mikel Arteta looks to upgrade options at the back
Mattinson has previously urged Arsenal to sign the German, praising X’s decisiveness and suggesting the winger may have what it takes to reach the highest level.
Throughout his time at Dortmund, the Munich-born attacker has been a reliable source of goals and assists, with 54 goal involvements in 129 games, and the 23-year-old still has time to develop further.
Arteta is clearly keen to sign a new forward and has identified a number of potential targets, so Adeyemi has proven he could be the perfect option.
