Chelsea are interested in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Chelsea’s board are working on a move for the 30-year-old goalkeeper, with new manager Liam Rosenior pushing for a move to the France international, Ficajes report.
Rosenior believes the goalkeeper position is the current team’s weakest point and wants to address it.
Mike Menyan is an elite keeper
Manninan has had a great run since joining AC Milan and is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He could be a great signing for Chelsea. In addition to his world-class shot-stopping, his ability to organize the defense and footwork will add a new dimension to the Chelsea team.
The player’s contract expires at the end of the season, and the Blues are expected to sign him for a reasonable amount in January. Or they could wait until the summer and sign him for free. It remains to be seen what they will decide. Chelsea want to win the Premier League next season and to do that they need quality players. Signing the France international could be a huge coup for them.
Can Mianyan lock down Chelsea?
The player has been heavily linked with a move to England in recent months and is no doubt excited about the prospect of joining Chelsea.
They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and joining them could be an exciting challenge for him at this stage of his career. He proved himself in France and Italy. He will now be looking to make his mark on English football.
Milan have not been able to agree a contract extension with the goalkeeper and would be very disappointed if they were to lose him in the coming months.
