  • Manchester United move forward with temporary employment of Solskjaer
        • Mainu will love him: Manchester United press further talks to sign Solskjaer’s replacement

Manchester United are now reportedly in contact with a new manager of the back-to-back champions who is keen to take on the challenge of rebuilding the club.

Manchester United move forward with temporary employment of Solskjaer

It’s déjà vu at Old Trafford, where manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in talks to remain in charge of the club until at least the end of the season. It wasn’t that long ago that Ole was behind the wheel for his first stint, and this could be his first return since being sacked in 2021.

It’s a decision that has already divided opinion, including Gary Neville. The Old Trafford legend admitted Man United have been in a veritable ‘Groundhog Day’ since Sir Alex Ferguson left more than a decade ago, while supporting his former team-mate.

He told Sky Sports: “They got Ryan (Giggs) in charge 10 years ago, then Ole took over, they went back to the old players and then they went back to the new players, getting more experience.

“It’s almost like a cycle, it’s like a movie we’ve all seen before and Groundhog Day. What I think is Ole is a guy who really loves the club, he knows the job and he’s been in the job.”

Meanwhile, beyond the interim manager, Man United’s plans remain unclear. In the long term, Oliver Glasner and Enzo Maresca have been mentioned as targets, but there will be questions about their status compared to other targets.

One man who is certainly qualified to take charge at Old Trafford is Luis Enrique. Reports in Spain say INEOS have made contact with Enrique, who wants the challenge of returning Man United to the unstoppable giants they were during Ferguson’s long tenure as manager.

Mainu will love him: Manchester United press further talks to sign Solskjaer’s replacement

Manchester United appear to be making progress on a deal to bring in a manager who is a perfect fit for Koby Mainu.

Despite reports that the PSG manager’s contract runs until 2027, BILD insisted earlier this week that he is eager for a new role after achieving all he set out to achieve in France.

There’s no bigger challenge than Man United’s manager, and there aren’t many better managers for the Red Devils than Enrique.

The two-time Champions League winner took PSG to a new level and made them even more great, beating out Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.

Described as “fantastic” by Josep Guardiola, Enrique becomes the transformative manager Man United have been searching for for more than a decade.
