Matthijs Tell has been linked with a move from Tottenham Hotspur this month.
Paris FC are interested in signing him and hope to secure him on loan for the remainder of the season. The 20-year-old has struggled to gain regular minutes at Premier League clubs and would be open to joining the French side. He hopes to play regularly in the second half of the season.
According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Tottenham are trying to prevent them from signing the player this month. Tottenham are under no pressure to sell the player as he has a long-term contract with the club.
They are already struggling in the offensive line and loaning players doesn’t make much sense. However, the young attacker needs more game time to develop further.
The report goes on to claim that the player is not only unhappy with his lack of appearances at Tottenham, but also dissatisfied with his role within the team. He wants to work as a striker and Paris FC is ready to offer him the desired position in the team. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop. If the player decides to force his way out this month, Tottenham may have to consider letting him go on loan. They wouldn’t want to force disgruntled players to continue.
Ideally, Tottenham would need to convince the player to stay at the club until the end of the season. They should give him more chances. There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a bright future and with the right guidance he could develop into an important player for Tottenham.
