Leeds United are interested in signing Wolves attacker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The Norwegian has been linked with a move from the Premier League club in recent months and is thought to be worth £40m. Leeds Live are reporting that Leeds are willing to sign a player on a cash deal in order to sign the striker.
West Ham United are also interested in signing Larsen.
Leeds could use Jorgen Strand Larsen
They need more depth in their attacking unit. This season they were overly reliant on Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He has performed very well for the newly promoted team, but they need more quality at their disposal. They are fighting for survival in the Premier League.
Larsen would be a great addition. He has shown his quality at Wolves in the Premier League and will be keen to step up and move to a bigger club. The Wolves are the favorites to win this season. He would not want to compete in the second tier of English football.
However, Leeds are not immune to relegation. They are fighting for a spot in the top league next season. That being said, they are in a much better position compared to wolves. It will be interesting to see if they can convince the striker to join the club.
Will Leeds be able to get a deal done for Larsen?
In the meantime, they will need to convince his club as well. They are currently looking to offer Joel Pillow, Wilfried Gonont and £5m in cash to seal the move. It will be interesting to see if Wolves are ready to accept such an offer. Pirouet and Gnont have struggled to get regular minutes at Leeds and need to move on. Joining Wolves could be ideal for them as well.
It will be interesting to see if both clubs can agree on a deal that is beneficial to both parties. There is no doubt that Larsen would be a great addition to Leeds, and he could transform Leeds attackingly.
