Rangers are now reportedly approaching signing the Championship star, who Danny Rolle is already familiar with.
Skov Olsen ‘excited’ to join Rangers
Rangers made their most impressive signing of the January transfer window to date, announcing the arrival of Andreas Skov Olsen earlier this week. The winger has completed a loan move, which includes an option to buy the Ibrox player if he impresses enough over the coming months.
Speaking for the first time since putting pen to paper, Rangers’ new star told the club’s website: “I’m really excited. I’m really happy that it’s finished and I’m really looking forward to meeting the players, the fans and the rest of the club.”
“Rangers is the biggest club in Scotland with a huge history. It’s a very old club with a huge tradition. When I finally heard I had the chance to come here, I didn’t doubt it for a second. I want to come here and do my best and have a good time here so that I can help win trophies with the rest of the players.”
Roll was equally pleased and went on to say:We are really excited to bring Andreas to the club. He is a player who has proven himself at the top level and brings experience of performing under pressure both on the domestic and European stage.
“He showed his real quality in the final third of the pitch and arrived hungry for this challenge and excited about the opportunities in front of him.”
But Ranger doesn’t stop there. Recent rumors have already suggested that a move for Sunderland’s Dan Neil or Sheffield Wednesday star Max Lowe could happen before the end of the January transfer window.
Rangers begin approach to sign Max Lowe
According to The Star, Rangers began approaches to sign Lowe from Sheffield on Wednesday and it appears likely that he will remain at Hillsborough this month, although the Gers could still reach a pre-contract agreement.
The 28-year-old left-back is out of contract at the end of the season, and that’s when Gers could strike a bargain deal with a player Rohr is already familiar with.
Lowe is by no means the Rangers’ standout signing of the month. Rolle will be a reliable name just as the Scottish Premiership title race heats up.
Rolle signs £9m star player that could ultimately end Rothwell’s Rangers career
Rangers could finally part ways with Joe Rothwell by signing the star in January.
After an impressive turnaround, the Gers are now just six points behind leaders Hearts and are in their best form under Rolle. There’s still a lot to play for, and the addition of Lowe will only improve Rangers’ title chances.
