  • Michael Carrick demands high standards at Man United
  • Carrick aims to stabilize club after confusion at Amorim

Michael Carrick has wasted no time proving his authority over Manchester United.

Reliable X sources say the caretaker manager has instructed the entire coaching staff to thoroughly review and analyze the mistakes made in the win over Manchester City and report back to manager Carrington for analysis.

The goal is clear: to identify every detail, eliminate complacency, and build a culture of collective improvement without blame.

Saturday’s 2-0 derby win was hugely encouraging, but Carrick is determined to ensure United don’t fall back into old habits.

His message to staff and players was firm that standards needed to be raised, even with wins.

He wants to create the perfect environment for coaches and players to challenge each other, correct mistakes and maintain high performance levels throughout the run-in.

The change in mood was noticeable. Under manager Ruben Amorim, United endured chaotic results, low morale and tactical confusion.

But Carrick’s arrival brought new clarity and better communication.

United’s dominant performance in the derby, Carrick’s first game under manager, truly impressed fans and pundits alike.

The 2-0 scoreline pleased City, with United controlling the key moments, creating better chances and showing discipline both in and out of possession.

Carrick knows he may not stay as manager beyond this season, but he intends to leave the club in better shape than he expected.

This change in mentality, discipline and professionalism may be his most important contribution until a new permanent manager is appointed in the summer.

For now, Carrick’s United look focused, united and ready to fight to regain their rightful place.
