NASCAR has published a detailed list of owner point transfers across its three main series as the 2026 season approaches. The list outlines each team’s 2025 rankings along with which new team will inherit those points once the upcoming season kicks off. Below the tables, the updates on new car numbers starting from zero are also provided.

Owner points play a crucial role in determining qualifying positions and securing entry into races at the beginning of a season.

NASCAR Cup Series

  • 88 Trackhouse Racing (12th) points will transfer to #97 Trackhouse Racing, driven by Shane Van Gisbergen.

  • 60 RFK Racing (18th) points move to #51 Rick Ware Racing with Cody Ware behind the wheel.

  • 99 Trackhouse Racing (29th) points transfer to #88 Trackhouse Racing for driver Connor Girish.

  • 51 Rick Ware Racing (36th) points will go to #60 RFK Racing, driven by Ryan Preece.

  • 87 Trackhouse Racing (43rd) points will shift to #99 Trackhouse Racing.

  • A new entry, #199 RFK Racing, will feature Corey Lajoie.

NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series

  • 2 Richard Childress Racing (5th) points move to #30 Bullet Corps Racing, with drivers including Carson Ware, Balthazar Reguizamon, and one yet to be announced.

  • 25 Morning Racing (13th) points go to #76 Sigma Performance.

  • 16 Kaulig Racing (14th)’s points transfer to #02 Young’s Motorsports with Ryan Ellis driving.

  • 11 Kauri Racing (21st) points move to #42 Young’s Motorsports.

  • And several other transfers include teams such as Sam Hunt Racing, Alpha Prime Racing, Joey Gas Motorsports, DGM Racing x JIM, Viking Motorsports, and others.

New team numbers introduced for this series include #43 Alpha Prime Racing, #84 Sam Hunt Racing, #93 Viking Motorsports, #23 Jordan Anderson Racing, #11 Joe Gibbs Racing, #80 PK+K Racing, and #15 Hettinger Racing.

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series

  • 98 Thor Sports Racing (2nd) points will transfer to #88 Thor Sports Racing, with Majeski-kun driving.

  • 52 Halmar Friesen Racing (3rd) points move to #62 Halmar Friesen Racing with John Hunter Nemechek and an additional driver to be decided.

  • The #77 Spire Motorsports (11th) points go to #12 Kauri Racing, driven by Brenden Queen.
  • Other transfers include movements involving teams such as McAnally Hilgemann Racing, Young’s Motorsports, Rohm Brothers Racing, Niece’s Motorsports, Cook Racing Technologies, and costner Motorsports.
