Turfway Park Racing & Gaming has announced the cancellation of its live racing events scheduled for Friday and Saturday due to ongoing subfreezing temperatures in the Florence, Kentucky region. Earlier cancellations also affected Wednesday and Thursday’s races, with live racing planned to restart on Wednesday, February 4th.

Further details about the rescheduling of Friday’s $125,000 Wishing Well Stakes and Saturday’s $125,000 Forego Stakes will be released soon. For up-to-date information on Turfway Park’s racing and gaming activities, visit www.turfway.com.

Fan Take: Weather-related cancellations like these highlight the challenges outdoor sports face, especially horse racing, where track conditions are crucial for safety. Rescheduling these major stakes will be critical for maintaining competitive integrity and fan engagement as the season progresses.
