ThoroughbredAuction.com has revealed that multiple major prize winner Post Time will be featured in the Maryland Equine Foundation Stallion Season Digital Auction. Post Time, owned by Hillwood Stables and trained by Brittany Russell, earned over $1.5 million throughout his career, capturing notable victories in races like the Grade 2 Carter Handicap and the Grade 3 General George. In 2024, he secured second place in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile at Del Mar.

Throughout his career, Post Time claimed 13 wins out of 22 starts, and 2026 will mark his debut season at stud, with Northview Stallion Station as his new home. Alongside Post Time, the auction will offer stallion seasons from other notable horses including Cupid, Redirect, Divine Rod, Friesanfire, Blofeld, Cancun, Bourbon Courage, Eastwood, Uptown Charlie Brown, Barbados, Entised, and New York Traffic.

Funds raised in this auction will benefit the Maryland Horse Foundation, an organization founded in 1988 by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association to support various educational and charitable initiatives within Maryland’s horse industry.

ThoroughbredAuction.com pioneered North America’s first online Thoroughbred auction in 2019, and their team has conducted 150 internet horse auctions since 2012, generating total sales of $226 million. Their platform includes a diverse lineup of 2020 RD Hubbard Thoroughbreds, which collectively brought in over $1.5 million, with an average sale price of $28,895.

Fan Take: This addition of Post Time to the digital auction is a big win for horse racing enthusiasts, as it brings a proven champion into the breeding spotlight, potentially shaping future generations of racehorses. Moreover, supporting the Maryland Horse Foundation through this auction highlights the sport’s commitment to growth and sustainability, which is crucial for horse racing’s continued success.
