Dana White Ditches UFC 325 to Party in Las Vegas Before Making Comeback to Zuffa Boxing

Alexander Volkanovski made history in Sydney tonight, but UFC president Dana White was far away, staying put in Las Vegas rather than making the 7,700-mile trip to UFC 325. Instead of attending the event in person, White hosted an extravagant party at his Nevada residence and plans to be present tomorrow for Zuffa Boxing’s second show at Meta Apex.

White posted several photos from his luxurious viewing party where he enjoyed drinks with friends while watching the fights on a dual-screen setup. He witnessed both Volkanovski’s championship win and Shakur Stevenson’s impressive boxing performance against Teofimo Lopez at Madison Square Garden.

Following just one event on Paramount+, White has already started skipping UFC 325 in person. However, he had valid reasons, as he was preparing for the Meta Apex boxing event the next day, which he heavily promoted on social media throughout the night.

While Volkanovski was clinching his record-tying eighth featherweight title, White relaxed at his Las Vegas party with friends, sharing images and videos from his Instagram story showcasing the sleek home he was in. Thanks to his split-screen setup, he caught both Sydney’s main event and Stevenson’s near-flawless victory over Lopez simultaneously. Numerous photos of guests enjoying Yamazaki whiskey also made an appearance online.

White also shared a funny moment from a heavyweight fight between Jarrell Miller and Kingsley Ibe, posting a video where Miller’s hairpiece was ripped off, jokingly commenting, “I hit her so hard that the carpet flew off.”

Fan Take:
Dana White’s choice to skip UFC 325 in person highlights the growing intersection between MMA and boxing, signaling a shift in how combat sports executives manage their time and brand presence. For fans, it underscores the increasing importance of multi-sport promotion and the evolving landscape of fight entertainment worldwide.
