Dana White Finally Speaks Out as UFC 325 Smashes Promotion’s Record Books

Dana White chose to stay home on Saturday night, watching his second UFC event of the year broadcast from Las Vegas while closely following the fight action. With prior commitments in Nevada the following evening, he attended his second event featuring his new Zuffa Boxing promotion and watched the Paramount+ show from an upscale house party, where he also caught Shakur Stevenson’s decisive win over Teofimo Lopez.

Although White shared numerous photos and videos from the viewing party, he remained mostly silent about UFC 325 itself, only briefly commenting during multiple Meta Apex appearances that evening.

Despite not traveling the long 7,700 miles to Sydney, Dana White stayed well-informed about the night’s events, including Alexander Volkanovski securing his record-tying eighth world title fight victory against Diego Lopez. In a stream with Nina Drama, White revealed that the event set new attendance and gate revenue records, drawing 18,102 fans and earning $10.1 million USD (nearly AUD$14.6 million) at Qudos Bank Arena.

Reflecting on the event, White called it “a blast” and highlighted the record-breaking financial success as they explore future venues for the Boxing Project. When asked about UFC 325 during the post-fight press conference, he kept it simple, praising the card and sharing a laugh about Jarrell Miller’s hairpiece mishap at Madison Square Garden.

Fan Take:
This update is significant for fight fans because it highlights UFC’s growing global footprint and financial success, reinforcing its status as a leader in combat sports. Alexander Volkanovski’s continued dominance and the breaking of gate records signal a bright future for the sport, promising bigger events and increased fan engagement worldwide.
