Tuesday was a quiet day for news regarding the Atlanta Braves. Although the offseason seems to be dragging, pitchers and catchers are set to report to camp in less than a week. The Braves have not yet revealed any non-roster invitees, but here are some key preseason highlights to keep in mind.

Braves Updates:
Ronald Acuña Jr. earned the No. 5 spot on MLB Network’s top 10 right fielders list and finished second in the fan voting.

This Friday, February 6th, at 7:30pm ET, Battery Power will host a live Q&A session focusing on all things related to the minor leagues.

The preseason top 30 prospect rankings begin with players ranked 19 through 30.

MLB Headlines:
Catcher Yainer Diaz prevailed in his arbitration case against the Houston Astros, securing a $4.5 million salary for the upcoming season, despite the team’s initial offer of $3 million. The Astros avoided arbitration with Isaac Paredes by agreeing to a one-year, $9.35 million deal.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and first baseman Carlos Santana have reached a one-year, $2 million agreement, though the team has yet to make an official announcement.

Right-handed pitcher Kyle Bradish won his arbitration hearing with the Baltimore Orioles and will earn $3.5 million this year; the Orioles had sought $2,875,000.

Fan Take:
This offseason activity highlights the growing importance of arbitration and strategic contract decisions in shaping competitive rosters. For baseball fans, these moves underscore how teams balance budget and talent, impacting the game’s future both on and off the field.
