Tottenham’s Cristian Romero’s red card against Manchester United today was a huge blow for Spurs, who are playing with 10 men and will be without the defender for the next four games.
Romero was given a straight red for a nasty challenge on Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, which means he will miss important games for Tottenham, including the north London derby against Arsenal.
Spurs next play Newcastle, without Romero, then Arsenal, then Fulham and Crystal Palace.
If Romero wants to attend more, you can always find out how to buy Tottenham vs. Newcastle tickets. Because that’s where he can get closest to the match.
Cristian Romero to miss 4 games due to stupid red card
Spurs fans will no doubt be disappointed to be without a key player like Romero for so long, but there will also be plenty of anger.
Today’s incident comes after the Argentine player targeted serious criticism at the club on social media, criticizing the team’s form and an unacceptable lack of depth.
Romero only made matters worse with his stupid actions today, as the madness of that moment means THFC will be even more nervous over the next four games.
Cristian Romero to miss Arsenal game
Interestingly, Romero’s absence from the crucial game against Arsenal could give the Gunners a big boost in the title race.
Arsenal have had an easier game than Manchester City and are close to progressing, but the trip to Spurs will be one of their tougher tests.
But despite the current jokes on social media, things will change a bit if Romero is sidelined…
Romero may have had some bad moments for Tottenham, like this one, but he was mainly one of Tottenham’s most solid and reliable defenders, so not having him available against Arsenal is a big blow.
Firstly, Tottenham fans will not want to see their north London rivals win the title, but this makes their task even more difficult.
