The Aston Martin F1 Team has officially unveiled its new livery for the 2026 Formula 1 season. On Monday, February 9th, Aston Martin became the 11th and final team to reveal its official design ahead of the first preseason testing session in Bahrain.
The AMR26 livery launch was hosted at the King Abdulaziz World Cultural Center in Saudi Arabia, which is home to Aston Martin’s main sponsor, Aramco. The event kicked off at 7 pm UK time and was part of the Opening Night Season Launch.
Fans could watch the reveal live on Aston Martin’s TikTok and YouTube channels, with Sky Sports F1 broadcasting the event in the UK. The team promised an immersive “cinematic experience” that included a keynote speech by team principal Adrian Newey, technical presentations featuring Aramco, Honda, and Valvoline, a live performance of Hans Zimmer’s music by Jodoku Bouillet, and a special appearance by actor Kaya Scodelario.
Entering 2026, Aston Martin carries high hopes with its first F1 car designed by the legendary Adrian Newey. The AMR26 was teased earlier on the track in a stealthy all-black livery during its shakedown in Barcelona, standing out with its distinctive design.
The upcoming season presents one of the most captivating storylines, as fans wonder if the AMR26 will help 44-year-old Fernando Alonso secure his elusive third World Championship. After a disappointing 7th place finish in 2025, the team faces intense pressure to improve. Newey also takes on the role of team principal for the first time, with the challenge that the car’s wind tunnel testing began four months later than competitors.
Powered by Honda through an exclusive engine partnership granting Aston Martin official works status, the AMR26 aims to be highly competitive. Alonso will continue racing alongside Lance Stroll, whose billionaire father Lawrence Stroll owns the team.
Fan Take: This launch is a major moment for racing fans because it marks the start of a fresh chapter with a car designed by one of F1’s greatest minds, Adrian Newey. If Aston Martin can deliver on the hype, it could shake up the championship battle and add thrilling new dynamics to the sport in 2026.
