Chelsea are currently increasing their interest in signing the Premier League attacker in a transfer battle with German giants Bayern Munich.
Chelsea intensify interest in Premier League star
It’s been a great few weeks for Chelsea, apart from the disappointing failure against Leeds United. The Blues have lost just two of Liam Rosenior’s 11 games and the young manager continues to prove his doubters wrong.
Hull City’s 4-0 win last night gave the new manager a moment of change as he faced his old club from the start of his career.
Rozenia, as elegant as ever, wished the Tigers the best of luck as they aim for promotion. “I really hope that happens, so I wish them all the best. It’s great to see so many really welcoming faces here and I think the coach is doing a great job.”
It looks increasingly likely that Bruko will bring in a great young manager, but he will have to be backed once the summer transfer window opens in earnest.
There are still a number of weaknesses in Rosenior’s team and recent rumors suggest the Blues intend to strengthen once the window opens.
Names such as Keith Smit and Atletico Madrid superstar Julian Alvarez have already been mentioned in recent reports, making the latter move particularly exciting.
The former Manchester City player has taken La Liga by storm since taking over, resulting in him once again attracting the attention of Premier League’s biggest clubs.
But he is not the only forward to attract attention from the Blues. Chelsea are also increasing their interest in signing Igor Thiago ahead of Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Impressive Thiago is destined for the top
Thiago’s form is no longer just a purpura. He has pulled Brentford into a shocking European qualification race this season, defying those who had predicted the Bees would suffer relegation under manager Keith Andrews.
Chelsea have specific interest in ‘fantastic’ Premier League star and offer has been made
The Blues have put their name forward to sign the defender.
Only Erling Haaland has scored more goals in the Premier League than the Brentford striker, which has sparked interest from Bayern. Reports from Spain suggest that the German giants were in a good position to sign Thiago, but only received interest from Chelsea and Manchester City, whose bubble has since burst.
Meanwhile, Brentford showed their intention by handing their star striker a new contract earlier this week, which will make it even harder for the likes of Chelsea to land him.
“He’s a really special person and fits into life very well. He had to earn this path. He won the journey and was grafted onto it.
“He’s got some serious grit about his character. He’s constantly developing his skill set and we’re learning more and more about him. He’s a pretty complete centre-forward.” (Andrews vs. Thiago)
With just 12 games remaining this season, he has already scored 17 goals in the Premier League, so it’s no wonder he’s receiving so much praise.
